About This Blog

This blog pays homage to small-scale things. Note, I use the term small-scale in the blog to cover several topics, from miniatures to toys to decor items. I think the term small-scale encompasses a lot more items versus the term miniatures.

There are several sections in this blog:

  1. Fine Art Miniatures, which covers the work of specific artisans, like Robert Olszewski.
  2. Dollhouse Miniatures, including mass-made dollhouse furniture and furniture you can build from kits.
  3. Small-Scale Toys, primarily Lego sets for adults, but also other cute small toys.
  4. Miniature Craft Kits, which are smaller than the 1:12 size of dollhouse kits.
  5. Home Décor, which are small-scale décor items that are fun and functional.

Occasionally, I will have some gently used small-scale items I no longer need or duplicates of some new items. While this blog is not a store, I would like to offer these items to interested readers for a good price. Eventually, I will create a webpage listing items up for resale. If you are interested in purchasing, I will provide contact instructions. Occasionally, these items will also be listed on eBay under soben-30.

inside little women mini book
A 1:12 version of Little Women. This would work great in a dollhouse. Also on eBay.
Inside one of the small-scale christmas books
A small-scale set of Christmas Classics, bigger than 1:12. This set has some lovely illustrations.

My passion is small-scale stuff, from small toys to miniatures to small home decor items. If you enjoy collecting and viewing miniatures and other little things, I hope this website will provide you helpful information and useful links.
